New Email Contact Features, Retooled Alerts Area Highlight Latest Meridix Upgrades
Wednesday, March 21, 2007
NAPERVILLE, Illinois - New tools released on the Meridix Network today now allow organizations to contact their subscribers and fans by email, supplementing recently unveiled text messaging features. Email functionality gives organizations the ability to send out larger communications to their subscriber base, including regular newsletters, schedules, important news, articles, and other communications. As with text messaging, subscribers simply sign up for free on the organization's web page via a tool provided, or via the organization's LiveID Event Center. Using the new updated "My Alerts" console, subscribers can now manage their own contact preferences, can turn text messaging and email on and off, and can also add and remove different event types and contact lists, all in one console.
Due to the fact that subscribers manage their own accounts, sending out emails and text messages is a "one click" process for organizations. Using the "Delivery List" tool in both the email and text messaging areas, organizations simply type a message, select a delivery list, and click on SEND NOW, and our system will automatically determine which recipients will receive the messages.
